Date: April 2, 2011

Location: Coppertree Restaurant, Hunter, NY

Honorees: Robert Manno & Magdalena Golczewski

This year we at Nite-Time – New York City’s Premier Party Band! had the pleasure of rocking out with the Greene County Council on the Arts and all of their supporters for the fourth time at the 23rd annual Beaux Arts Ball. Each year the ball is held at the beautiful Coppertree Restaurant at the foot of Hunter Mountain in Hunter, NY. This year’s ball was on April 2nd and it was truly a night to remember!

This year the GCCA which “provides information and services to artists, arts organizations, cultural and educational institutions, civic groups, community agencies and the general public” honored the founders of the Windham Chamber Music Festival, Robert Manno and Magdalena Golczewski. Robert and Magdalena, like Yves and me, are a married couple who have spent their lives working in music. Robert and Magdalena have been bringing classical music to Windham since 1997 and have done a tremendous amount to enrich the mountain community of Windham and the surrounding areas.

Robert and Magdalena Receive honors at the 2011 GCCA Ball!

After Lex Grey got things going during the cocktail and silent auction hour with her bawdy cabaret (which is always a good time), we ramped things up throughout the night with hits from the 60’s to today. Like we always do, we had everybody up and dancing and it was a good crowd filled with some pretty awesome dancers.

We love that we get the chance to lend a hand and help out this very worthy cause each year. Funding for arts in our communities is getting harder and harder to come by. We’d like to thank Kay Stamer, David Slutzky, the fine folks at the GCCA and all local arts councils for doing all that they do to keep arts alive in our communities.

If you didn’t make it out this time, next year consider joining us for an excellent time with an amazing group of people!

Here are a few pics from this year’s shindig to whet your appetite (I’m not going to lie, a lot of them are of me).
