Hey everyone!

I know it’s been a while since we last posted, but we have had a crazy busy couple of months. We rocked some pretty awesome events in May and June in addition to starting the planning process with Nite-Time’s Class of 2016. We figured you all might want to see what we’ve been up to, so here are some photo highlights of our spring season…

We were honored to return (for the eighth year) to perform for the amazing folks at the Princeton Child Development Institute. They do such wonderful work with children and adults living with autism and they do a terrific job organizing this event each year.

This marked the third year in a row that the good people at the Stanley M. Isaacs Neighborhood Center asked us to perform for their Spring Gala and one of the few times of the year that Amy and Bennett get to perform as a duo before the full band gets rockin’. Always fun!

Of course, no spring would be complete without our Columbia College Reunion Weekend revelers jamming to tunes from every decade on the plaza outside the iconic Low Library in the heart of NYC! We probably say this every year, but this year seemed to bring out more alumni than ever before.

We were invited to perform for Duggal Visual Solutions’ summer yacht party again this year and it was so much fun! This year’s party was on the Hornblower Infinity, a boat with a capacity of 1000 people, so cool.

Amy and Yves got to rock it duo style at the Wolfert’s Roost CC’s Belmont Stakes party on June 6th. We’re not saying the acoustic good vibes we sent out had anything to do with American Pharoah’s historic triple crown win, but you never know 😉

Just three days before the end of spring on June 18th, wedding season kicked in for us again with Bianca and Lyncean’s NYC nuptials. These two ER docs are so busy they had to schedule their wedding for a Thursday night. It’s all good, we’ll rock a party any day of the week. More to come on that one…

The Cause: Princeton Child Development Institute

We’ve had the honor of working with PCDI on their Spring Sensations Gala for the past seven years, and we couldn’t be more happy to play a small part in raising money for this great cause. The Princeton Child Development Institute “provides quality treatment, education and professional training and mentoring” and through its research has “pioneered comprehensive intervention models that are used nationally and internationally for the benefit of persons with autism”.

This year’s Spring Sensations Gala’s theme was “Springtime in the City” the room was decked out with flowers, lampposts and park benches to give the feel of an urban park setting blossoming with the renewal that comes each spring.

There were some amazing items up for auction this year including a brand new Honda Stateline Motorcycle that drew a lot of attention and more importantly a good sum of funds for the organization. No, we didn’t win it, but the gentleman who did, let us get a shot of it…

After the auction items were all sold and dinner was served we got up on the stage to rock out for these amazing folks! Thanks again for having us back and we can’t wait to do it again! Here’s some more fun shots from the night…

Another Great Night With PCDI!

Date: May 4th

Location: The Westin Princeton at Forrestal Village, Princeton, NJ

Honoree: Toys ‘R’ Us

We have been so thrilled to be a part of Princeton Child Development Institute’s Spring Sensations fundraiser for the past five years and are looking forward to another great event next year.

This year’s gala honored Toys ‘R’ Us for their contributions to autism research and awareness as well as their direct $40,000 grant to PCDI. Toys ‘R’ Us has continually supported PCDI’s Early Intensive Behavioral Intervention for Children with Autism since 1994.

Over the past few years of working on PCDI’s Spring Sensations Gala we have gotten the opportunity to hear the stories of the people whose lives have been touched and forever changed for the better by the fine work the educators and administrators at the institute do and I cannot stress enough how amazing this organization truly is. It is always a pleasure to be apart of raising money for this very worthy cause.

The evening starts with a silent auction and then transitions into the main ballroom for music and dining. There is a video presentation during dinner that allows guests to get a look inside a specific situation and how the institute has played a role. After the video there is an exciting live auction which features various items from Yankees box seats to lavish vacations. This year they event auctioned off an ATV!!

Once all the items are sold it’s time to cut loose with Nite-Time. We play a wide variety of tunes to get the folks up and moving. The highlight of the evening for us was when someone asked if their friend could sit in with us (which we love) and sing Sympathy for the Devil. We (as always) said sure thing! The man who sang was clad in full traditional Scottish garb including a kilt. He did an awesome job singing and now I’m thinking that song should always be sung by a man in a kilt. Hopefully he’ll sit in with us again next year. I promise I’ll be fast enough to get a picture next time.

Honorees: Schafer Gymnastics, Pennington Presbyterian Nursery School & Pennington-Ewing Athletic Club

This year we were once again honored to be a part of Princeton Child Development Institute‘s Spring Sensations Gala. 2012 marked our fifth year performing at this amazing event, and we couldn’t be happier to be a part of helping to raise funds and awareness for the good people at PCDI and all of their efforts.

The honorees this year were “three community partners (Schafer Gymnastics, Pennington Presbyterian Nursery School and Pennington-Ewing Athletic Club) with whom PCDI has had long-term relationships and who continue to work to make a difference in the lives of individuals with autism and their families”. It was wonderful to hear the stories of how each of these wonderful organizations has helped PCDI students and their families. We salute them all for their continuing efforts.

Princeton Child Development Institute has been “dedicated to teaching children, adolescents and adults with autism the necessary skills to participate fully with their families and in their communities” for over 40 years. To learn more or to donate go to www.pcdi.org.

Save the date! Next year’s Spring Sensations Gala will take place on May 4, 2013. We look forward to seeing everyone again in 2013!

May 7, 2011

The Westin at Princeton Forrestal Village, Princeton, NJ

This year we at Nite-Time had the honor of performing for the good people at  The Princeton Child Development Institute, for the fourth year in a row. PCDI is “the first community-based program in the state (of NJ) that was specifically designed to provide intervention for children with autism.” Their mission is noble, they exist to “meet the education and treatment needs of children with autism, and to facilitate professional training and research on autism intervention” and they do an amazing job.

The 2011 Spring Sensations Gala was a wonderful event that raised spirits and funds for PCDI.  The people who work with PCDI give so much of themselves for this amazing cause. They work hard all year to raise money and awareness, so this event is definitely a party with a purpose. After the silent and live auctions were concluded, Nite-Time had the dance floor packed all night. This year’s musical highlights included a trip through the decades starting with hits from the Motown era and culminating in a rousing medley of today’s instant classics that got all ages up and moving.

We’d like to thank everyone at The Princeton Child Development Institute for having us back and for including us in such a wonderful event, we hope to see you again next year!
